The little apartment in Metropolis has always been a little dark and dingy. The occupants don't use it for much other than sleeping, a place to go back to at night. A lumpy mattress with blankets, a moth-eaten couch, a small pile of books and magazines makes up the entire contents of the apartment.

And, right now, two teenagers asleep on the floor in front of the couch. Outside, the sun is starting to rise and people are moving in the city but the sleeping kids stay curled around each other.
