Leah is not late to History of Magic. She is, in fact, precisely on time, having figured out how much time she had to go and check out a picture on the fifth floor after she had a sudden idea in the last lesson.
She's wearing one of her cheeky, private grins when she skids into the classroom, and heads to the nearest empty desk. Sure, it's the desk that usually hosts one Jo Harvelle, but Harvelle isn't here yet, and if she does turn up, she can always sit next to Bill Kinney.
