[Rabbithole: Southern Water Tribe, Katara and the warriors return]

"Two months, she wastes when she should have been sending her message to the South," Sokka grumps, hiding from all the excitement of the preparing women outside the hut with Miki in his lap, trying valiantly to stop his father from putting tiny shoes on his feet.  "And now she's coming three weeks ahead of schedule?"

A swarm of birds had arrived over the past week - from the men of the South, sent from their fleet to inform the tribe of their return; from Katara and Aang, confirming their presence at the wedding; Lu, Hana, and Iroh promising to attend; messages of congratulation from the North, King Bumi's court, the Fire Nation palace, the warriors of Kyoshi...

Perhaps it doesn't quite qualify a swarm, but it was more messages than any of the Tribesman had ever seen in the South at one time before.

Miki squeals in triumph when Sokka sets the boots aside to frown over at his fiancee.  "Katara came out of the womb determined to annoy me, I mean it."
